No Dog Gets Left Behind

Working Paws Australia is a charity that provides retired military working dogs with the resources and care they need as they transition into retirement, right up until their last days. Founded by ex-military working dog handlers Ryan Wilson and Jase Kelly, the charity currently has over 40 registered dogs in their care across Australia. This support includes assisting with medical care (veterinary bills, medications, and rehabilitation), ensuring dogs have a good quality of life (such as food, shelter, and comfortable retirement accommodations) and that they find loving forever homes (including arranging for intermittent care or re-homing if required).

Left to Suffer

Military Dogs have a tough life.

When these loyal, fearless dogs are retired from service, they are often left with severe medical and behavioural challenges from injuries or trauma sustained during service. Sadly, unlike humans, dogs receive ZERO support from the government. It is up to the handlers who adopt them to foot the costly bills for their care and rehabilitation

It’s just not fair.

Donate to Working Paws Australia now and make a difference in the lives of these four-legged heroes who have served our country and community so faithfully.

with your help, we can ensure every retired military dog enjoys a happy, healthy, and dignified retirement.

What we do

At Working Paws Australia, their mission is to honour the unwavering dedication and service of retired military dogs by providing them with the care and support they deserve in their golden years. They are dedicated to ensuring that these courageous canine heroes, who have selflessly served our communities and nations, receive the medical attention and assistance they need.
