Drago was employed by the Australian military police as a patrol dog, and was allocated in 2019 to his handler. Drago passed all requirements and certified deployable, Drago has served in Australia with the military police but has also worked with other agencies including RAAF, QPS and NT police force in joint training and patrols. Drago was certified for helicopter and water operations including rappelling and small boats and spent a large portion of his career as an amphibious asset. Drago deployed to Singapore on a combined exercise in 2022

During his service Drago suffered from a shoulder injury during a combined exercise in 2020.

Drago has had a long and exciting career and retired in 2024 to his handler and currently resides in QLD while still attending and supporting current and past serving members throughout his retirement.
